I have been consistently blogging here at Antiquarius for nine months, and in that time I have learned so much about blogging and producing good content. There are tips and tricks that really do help bloggers get that polished looking blog, and slowly I am learning how to do it right.
One of the best resources I can recommend for bloggers is Canva. It’s an app that you can download on your phone to create high quality graphics like the one above. The templates are endless and specifically organized by social media sites and purposes. Best of all is that Canva is free to download, and as long as you use your own original pictures, is free to use as well!
I am excited to see where my blog will go in the coming year. I know a lot of bloggers keep track of blog goals, and so I have decided to do the same, in hopes that it will motivate me even more! And maybe these can inspire you to make your own blog goals if you don’t already have a nice little list.
By this time next year, I would like to:
- Reach 500 Followers
- Have roughly 100 active readers
- Post 2 times a week
- Buy a self-hosted domain
- Do a collab post!
- Get 1 sponsor
After doing some research, it seems that WordPress AdSense doesn’t generate much of a profit, so I’m really going to try for a sponsorship through a smaller company, as one of my long-term goals for my blog is to use it as a second income. I also want to use my blog as a platform to promote my self published books that I will be releasing once I have enough followers and those interested in my writing style.
I will say this too: Blogging isn’t as easy as I thought it would be, but it’s no less rewarding. Writing the posts, taking pictures, and interacting with other bloggers is a time consuming hobby, but I love every second of it. I still have a ton to learn about blogging, but I am so glad I started on this journey eight months ago.
